I’ll admit it—I’m a nerd about email marketing. Call me old school, but I still think e-mail marketing is one of the best forms of content marketing. It’s the easiest way to communicate 1:1 with your customer.

While working with Fisher Nuts, we were sending monthly emails to our email list, but they were treated as a one-off content channel with no goals or strategy, and only one design option. I pitched them a more strategic plan, in which we created multiple templates targeted to specific messages, such as announcements, newsletters; created advanced sets of KPIs based on the message; and most importantly, integrated email into our overall content channel. B2B EMAIL EXAMPLES
While working for Breakthru Beverage Group (formerly Wirtz Beverage Group), we sent emails to key retailers to announce new products, programs and sell-through ideas for major brands. The average open rate for these emails was 40%, 21% higher than the then-industry average. The average click-through-rate was 10%, which was 5% higher than the then-industry average.
